Blind Poker

Blind Poker

My students always think I'm insane the first time I have them play blindfolded against PokerSnowie. I do it because it drastically improves their situational awareness and attention to detail in a short period of time. So I thought it was ironic that Steven Iglesias, a very successful blind poker player, said the exact same thing in an interview with PocketFives last week. Here's a quote from Steven...

“I took some coaching and I actually think my memory is better now than when I had my eye sight. When you lose your eyesight your memory becomes really important. You have to remember everything – like where you put things – and when you play a lot of poker, memory is important too.”

It's an awesome article and you can read the rest of it here.
